Saving Promise aims to enlist the support of America—from survivors and advocates, to corporate executives and social leaders—ordinary people willing to stand up and turn this national health crisis into a national priority.
Second Harvest of the Big Bend
Second Harvest of the Big Bend is a nonprofit charity started in 1982 to address the urgent problem of hunger in the community. Our mission is to feed hungry, food insecure people in North Florida’s Big Bend region, and to educate and engage the community in the fight to end hunger. The food bank provides healthy food and other needed items for low-income and unemployed people to relieve situations of emergency and distress.
New Horizons of Southwest Florida
New Horizons is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping at-risk children and teens who are growing up in an environment of poverty, academic failure and hopelessness. From its humble beginnings with 20 children in 2002, New Horizons currently reaches hundreds of K-12 students at 12 locations in Naples, Bonita Springs, Estero and Fort Myers; providing over 200,000 hours of after school tutoring and mentoring annually at no cost to their families. Core values of honesty, integrity, and personal responsibility are emphasized in daily character education lessons.
Girl Scouts of the USA is the largest organization for girls in the world. Our mission is to build girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place. Through activities in science and technology, business and economic literacy, and outdoor and environmental awareness, Girl Scouting provides girls with opportunities for fun and friendship while fostering the development of leadership skills and self-esteem.

Habitat for Humanity of Hillsborough County is a volunteer nonprofit, faith-based organization dedicated to providing safe, affordable homes in partnership with the community and qualified families in Hillsborough County.

Everglades Abandoned Dog Rescue
EADRT’s mission is to end the suffering of thousands of abandoned pet dogs, feral and breeding packs of dogs, by physical rescue, from rural and remote areas of Florida. EADRT treats rescued dogs medically, including sterilization and microchip identification, and provides psychological training and placement in qualified homes. The rescue dogs homing procedure encompasses verification by home check of adopter, vet treatment verification of current pets, and in person interview, as well as meetings between future adopter and the rescue dog. Also to verify current pets in the home will be compatible.
